I thought of you all on Saturday, October 18th. I was sent to the North Clairemont Library and didn’t realize that it is just down the street from our meeting room! If only it had been a Monday – I could have arrived at the meeting at a decent hour.
I would like to thank Angelina and Margaret B. for serving on the nominating committee. I would also like to thank the members who stepped forward to take on board positions. This chapter, which gives us all such pleasure, runs because of the generosity and hard work and talent given so freely by our members. The last two years I have worked with an exceptional board and I am pleased to say that I think the board for next year will be an outstanding one also. Curious? The slate is printed in this issue. The election will take place at our November 24 meeting. Be sure to attend so your vote can count.
At our November meeting we will also have our Golden Galleria, so bring your finished pieces to display, even if we have seen them before. Karen has quite a party planned, so you won’t want to miss it.
Speaking of parties, you really won’t want to miss our annual Holiday Party/Potluck/Gift Exchange. It will be at my home, Monday, December 8, at 6:30 p.m. Be there or be square.
Now, get back to your stitching!
May your stitches be many and your frogs be few. Ina
Be sure to turn in your volunteer service hours on our sheet at chapter meetings. These hours are vital in helping EGA maintain its non-profit status. Thanks to everyone !!

- October brings us Dragon Boats (Tsung-Tse; Chinese Yarn Winding). Dragon Boats were fashionable in ancient courts as elaborate wrappings for important gifts. Come learn how to make your own!
- In November, we will enjoy our Member Golden Gallery. Bring your finished pieces or any needlework pieces that inspire you, for an evening of socializing and enjoying the art of stitching. We’d also like to see any work done by family members and friends.
- Don’t forget to support the businesses that advertise in our chapter newsletter! Let them know you are a member of Muchas Manos and appreciate their support. In this month’s newsletter, our advertisers were: Needle Nook of La Jolla, Needlepoint of La Jolla, Sandy’s Finishing Touches, Stitcher’s Treasures, and The Black Sheep.
